Exciting opportunity for a Process & Controls Specialist to join this global Energy company.

This is an exciting time to be joining this world-leading company as they transform themselves from a traditional Oil & Gas company into a leading name within the Renewables sector.

This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Tradingdesk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage.

These innovative solutions provide opportunitiesfor exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology.


Background:

  • The Energy & Power Trading function have embarked on a multiyear programme to further develop their Control capability.
  • The business environment is very dynamic with a highly complex regulatory and internal operational landscape.

About The Role:

  • Designing effective controls and other mitigations to ensure the key operational and compliance risks associated with business objectives are adequately managed.
  • Operating business (LoD1) risk management processes to provide reasonable assurance that the risks for which the VP SE-EA is accountable are within acceptable tolerances.
  • Determining improvements to the process and control environment as a result of identified weaknesses, incidents and audit findings
  • Managing counterparty risk for the business by operating counterparty onboarding and reviewing processes that meet T&S standards for the prevention of Financial Crime and other
counterparty risks.

Your Background Needs To Include:

  • Demonstrate process and controls expertise and bring knowledge of best practise from modern trading environments
  • Experience within Energy or broader Commodities Trading.
  • Be able to quickly master the complexities of endtoend energy trading processes and systems
  • Have a commercial mindset, able to balance process and control improvements with the need to deliver and protect commercial value
  • Have strong communication and influencing skills
  • Have strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Be able to work virtually in a global environment
