Gatehouse Administrator:
Due to business growth working with a Global brand in FMCG we are growing our team.

We are looking for an experienced gatehouse administrators to support the supervisor and management team on a day to day basis.


Contract type:
Long term full time permanent positions -
Immediate start dates available

Hours:4 on / 4 off days rotation Day / Night shifts (7am - 7pm) & (7pm - 7am) including weekends.

About the role:

As a Gatehouse Administrator in a very busy, dynamic terminal you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving product from customers along with despatching trailers
  • Completing delivery paperwork
  • Ensure filing system is maintained and updated
  • Maintain all appropriate records to ensure the efficient running of the operations.
  • Communicate effectively with all other departments and maintain good relations with hauliers.
  • Ensure all WMS (Warehouse Management System) functions are completed accurately for all vehicle and trailer movements to enable subsequent WMS tasks to be actioned
  • Liaise with shipping lines concerning issues with import/export activity to maintain service levels
  • Identify issues and concerns with gatehouse operations and notify the despatch supervisor in a timely manner to enable prompt and effective resolution
  • Monitor consumable use e.g. despatch notes/printer ink and liaise with appropriate personnel to ensure there are always sufficient to meet operational and customer requirements
  • Ensure gatehouse always presents a professional image and is maintained in a clean and organised state

  • Previous experience with SAP and Transporeon systems would be desirable

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Right to work in the UK
  • 2 years+ Logistics / warehouse administration experience
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
both written and verbal

  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
Desired criteria

  • Ideally have some import/export knowledge
  • Experience with Transporeon (Haulage management software) preferred
