    Chief Product Owner - Outside IR35


    Loriens leading Public Sector client is looking for a senior Product Owner to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.


    In this role, you will:

    • Have operational/business responsibility for the Product (the change).
    This ensures that business outcomes are adequately addressed in the themes and there is a smooth transition and hand-over to BAU.
    Represent the stakeholders, and have the mandate to prioritise scope (functions/features) on behalf of the team, setting the overall transformation vision and aims
    Clearly communicate priorities, objectives/goals, mission and acceptance criteria to the Agile Delivery Teams
    Ensure the Product Owners understand items in the Theme Backlogs to the level needed and leverage the wider scrum and cross stream forums
    Communicate progress outside the core Agile Delivery Team to key Judicial and operational influencers and other senior stakeholders as appropriate
    Collaborate with all parties required to deliver products and processes into Production/BAU.
    Accountable for the review and validation of actual value delivered against the value that was targeted within the designated lab
    Responsible for formulation and the communication of a comprehensive product strategy across the organisation


    Business Skills:

    • As the CPO, act as the strongest advocate of the executive strategy.
    Own the capability to translate executive strategy into prioritised Product Themes for the Next Generation change function.

    As the CPO, lead and influence the Business, taking products and services from investment decisions, into design, specification, and solution phases, all the way to operations on the ground, securing support services from other teams.


    Essential skills and experience:
    Ability to co-ordinate, communicate and influence to achieve outcomes within a positive working environment – strong stakeholder management skills
    Take a Value driven approach, with the ability to identify and measure Value, and target delivery towards the achievement of Value
    Experienced in utilising a variety of agile and lean practices


    Desirable skills and experience:
    The candidate will have an awareness of Digital First Service Standards, Government Digital Services (GDS) and the Scottish Approach to Service Design
