Teaching Assistant - Pimperne Primary
Fixed Term - until 31 August 2024
Part-Time, Term Time Only, 17.5 Hours Per Week
Pimperne Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our busy, friendly professional team.
Do you have enthusiasm, energy and commitment for supporting children with their learning? The post is likely to be based in Key Stage 1.
We are looking for someone who:
- is positive, smiley, approachable and truly believes relationships are key
- can promote independence and child-initiated learning - we don't want our children to become dependent on adults - you would be there to offer support and guidance but not to do it for them.
- is able to quickly grasp the expectations of the curriculum and have a good understanding of how young children learn.

The right person will need to be an enthusiastic, positive person with experience of children in some capacity.
They will need sensitivity to be able to attune to a child's needs and adapt quickly in various situations and be resilient and independent in supporting children.

You are likely to be someone who:
- Has experience (and relevant qualification) of spending time with children of varying ages.

- Is positive and smiley and able to create great relationships with children and adults
- Uses initiative and quick thinking to adapt and works well as part of a team
- Possesses good communication skills and can liaise with professionals and parents

The salary quoted on the advert is based on the term time dates being worked during the full academic year and includes paid leave entitlement.
A pay adjustment will be made in the first year to ensure that the staff member is being paid correctly for the period they are working.
