Milestone Infrastructure is the UK's leading highways maintenance provider looking after over 24,000 miles of roads, 280,000 lighting assets and 20,000 miles of footways, always with a view to ensuring that all works are carried out as sustainably as possible and with mínimal impact to local communities.

Recently Milestone Infrastructure have been awarded a 7-year contract to provide a broad range of highway services to Central Bedfordshire Council covering design, construction and maintenance.

As a result, we are looking to recruit an Assistant Planner / Planner.

Reporting to the Programming and Performance Manager you will be working as part of a small team developing and overseeing the delivery of a wide range of highway improvement projects.

As the Assistant Planner / Planner your duties and responsibilities will be:

To work with clients, project managers, project leads and key partners to develop a robust and deliverable Annual Plan
To support the development of a servicewide integrated design and construction programme
To monitor progress against key programme commitments
To engage effectively with colleagues to record change and update these accordingly on the integrated programme
To provide data to others to facilitate resource, risk and performance management
To support the upskilling of colleagues and development of a 'programme led' culture

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

Experience of developing and maintaining programmes including use of specialist software such as Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project or Primavera.
Proven organisational skills including planning and programming
Ability to engage liaise and communicate effectively across a diverse range of project stakeholders
Proven ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Experience in the development and delivery of highwaybased projects (DESIRABLE)
Driving Licence
