    Description

    The main focus of this position is to identify opportunities for enhancing Automation in the manufacturing process, both current and future, to maximize efficiency. You will be responsible for managing the design, production, installation, and operation of the automated systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Supplying and producing equipment for manufacturing Robotic lawnmowers
    • Specifying, controlling, and procuring necessary Automation equipment
    • Continuously improving production equipment to boost efficiency and Overall Equipment Effectiveness
    • Collaborating with a team on new product introductions and design for automated manufacturing, as well as mentoring junior team members
    • Ensuring all equipment is compliant with UKCA regulations and providing support and training for manufacturing and maintenance
    • Developing product testing equipment based on test specifications and implementing Poka Yoke

    Required qualifications and skills

    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proficiency in CE or UKCA and PUWER regulations related to in-house or purchased equipment
    • Solid understanding of Robotics
    • Experience with Siemens PLC programming, including Profinet devices
    • Knowledge of safety standards and machine directives
    • A relevant degree or equivalent Engineering experience
    • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and Word

    Additional Details

    Location: Newton Aycliffe

    Working hours:

    • Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
    • Friday: 8:00am - 1:30pm
