Operations Manager - Hard Services

Kent - Sussex

Up to £53,000 + Benefits (Company Car)
Howells Recruitment are working with a Leading Contractor who are seeking an Operations Manager within their Hard Services division. You will be responsible for all hard services Staff relating to the particular contract.


Requirements / Day to day:

  • Providing line management to the Regional Managers, working closely with the engineering team and Audit and Compliance Manager.
  • Working with the Helpdesk Team Leader and Data Scientist to ensure an accurate CAFM system and detailed reporting.
  • Supporting the Finance Business Partner to actively manage Work in Progress

About you:

  • Electrical & Mechanical qualifications/experience.
  • Strong background of applied Health and Safety practices / management of Asbestos
  • Strong communication and leadership skills able to delegate with full support
  • Root Cause problem solving driven with a risk mitigation orientated mindset to manage risk associated with symptoms.
  • Team player capable for leading and focusing team members to achieve their objectives.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Hold a full UK Driving licence
  • Small works management and quotations processes.
  • Mobile engineer and task management
  • Provide technical support and develop Regional Manager
  • Maintain tool and equipment calibration and testing
  • Operate and maintain statutory and discretionary training program
  • Participate in audits and corrective actions
  • Quotation interpretation and confirmation
  • Maintaining AP'S and CP'S at the required levels
  • H and S investigations
  • Overtime review, management, and control
  • Proven experience in an operational role in a professional Facilities Management environment essential
