People Plan Lead

This role is pivotal to the successful planning and delivery of change across the People function.

Managing the scheduling and prioritisation of People change projects to ensure they're delivered on time, in budget and align with the achievement of our strategic goals.


What you'll be doing


In this role, you will work collaboratively to manage the prioritisation, scheduling and delivery of change across all areas of the People function.


You will work with the People leadership group to develop and manage a consolidated view of People change programmes that allows you to proactively identify and report any risks, issues or challenges that potentially jeopardise delivery, ensuring that we make change easy for the business to consume.


You will be responsible for the triage of all People change requests and lead a centralised People Change governance framework, ensuring projects are strategically aligned, appropriately prioritised and scheduled to optimise the allocation of resource.


You'll be involved in budget tracking and preparation of SteerCo packs for key People transformation programmes and where necessary, you'll take a hands-on approach to supporting project delivery, working with stakeholders to offer guidance and resolve roadblocks as needed.


Driving a culture of continuous improvement, you'll also support project closure reports, reviewing delivery, identifying lessons learned and recommending improved ways of working to enhance operational efficiency.


Requirements of the Role

What you'll need to do the role:
You'll demonstrate the credibility and confidence to lead effective planning and prioritisation conversations across the People function.


A mastery of planning and analysis, you'll be capable of overseeing multiple programmes against a single timeline, analysing complex data, identifying interdependencies and making informed recommendations to proactively manage risks.


Experienced in developing and leading effective change governance frameworks, you'll provide structure and rigour to the way we manage change requests in a way that makes governance easy - with simple processes and mínimal bureaucracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Proficient in preparing reports, you'll be expert in making complex information easy to understand and able to focus on the "so what" factor.

You'll also demonstrate the ability to constructively challenge at all levels of the organisation where necessary

With a "hands on" approach, you'll show the flexibility to adjust plans according to evolving needs and ability to navigate changes and uncertainties within a dynamic environment

Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience to prioritise conflicting demands, especially when working under pressure

Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Experience of Microsoft Project would also be advantageous.

Previous experience of working in a People function would be beneficial

Location & Hours of Work
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40
hours per week. We support hybrid working and spend 3 days in the office per week.
