Description

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a
HGV s on behalf of our client to join their team in
BIRSTALL, WF17.

  • HGV 4 on 4 off days
  • 07.00hr start to 19:00hr but may be required to start early some shifts.
  • ASAP start
  • UK loads / shunting, duty shunt, powered tanker work, Training will be issued
  • Temp to perm ( once completed 12 full weeks)
  • Clean work
  • Shift pattern will include
- £13ph when permanent

  • 12 hour shifts paid breaks when permanent
  • Potential for overtime shifts paid at time and third £17.33ph
  • 22 days holiday will be required to work bank Holidays if part of 4/4 shift pattern
  • Must be 25 years of age due to insurance purposes
  • Maximum 6 points

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Collection of around 40/50 bins per day
  • Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
  • Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
  • To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
  • To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:


  • Must hold a valid
    HGV 1 / C+E licence.
  • Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
  • Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good customer relations.
  • Have a safe driving record.
  • No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
No DR's, IN's or DD's offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
