    Hardware Design Engineer - Nottinghamshire

    Our client in Nottinghamshire is seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join their team. In this newly opened position (due to growth), you'll become part of a well-established team that values and rewards the delivery of high-quality, high-performance solutions on the first try.

    This role involves:

    • Designing, implementing, and optimizing hardware solutions
    • Monitoring and revising delivery to meet agreed KPIs
    • Ensuring designs comply with safety and industry standards
    • Providing cost-efficient, obsolescence-tolerant designs
    • Participating in hardware/software co-design and system-level troubleshooting
    • Supporting FAT, SAT & Commissioning activities
    • Leading small projects and collaborating on larger ones
    • Adhering to industry best practices and company quality standards while seeking improvement opportunities

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A degree in Electronics Engineering or related field, or NVQ Level 5
    • Practical experience in a Hardware Electronics Design role

    Required Experience

    • Analogue audio
    • Microcontroller/processor (e.g., STM32, Arm9, PIC)
    • Reverse engineering analysis techniques

    Desirable Experience

    • Transformer design
    • Power supply design
    • FPGA/CPLD
    • CCTV/Networking
    • DFMEA
    • Railway environment & standards

    In exchange for your expertise, our client offers a salary up to £60k, a 37h/week schedule with Friday early finish, 25 days of holiday with an option to purchase an extra 5 days, Pension with a 12% cap, Bupa health coverage.

    This role is office-based, requiring you to reside within a commutable distance of Nottinghamshire.
