This post, is based in the Wolfosn Centre for Personalised Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, a internationally-renowned centre for pharmacogenomics and personalised medicine research.

We are looking for an experienced postdoctoral researcher to support a pharmacogenomics work package as as part of an ViiV healthcare-funded clinical trial of antiretroviral (dolutegravir) efficacy in a paediatric population.

We are looking for someone with wet-lab experience of genotyping, using a range of platforms (TaqMan, Illumina Bead Array) as well as statistical analysis of large clinical and genetic datasets to undertake whole-genome association studies.

In addition, you should have an demonstrable awareness of population pharmacokinetic modelling methodologies. You should have a PhD degree in biomedical sciences, pharmacology, genetic or another discipline (or equivalent experience). The post is available for 2 years.


Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.

Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
