A Business Support Officer is required to assist the Business Support Team Leader in providing an efficient business support function.
Key responsibilities:
- Receive, log, and respond to a variety of internal and external queries and requests, offering a professional service by recording the details of the enquiries and handling them in a timely and appropriate manner, meeting service standards across the Council.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, service users and other stakeholders to meet service needs.
- Take concise minutes, process and maintain data in a variety of IT systems and provide accurate management information as required.
- Assist the Business Support Team Leader in providing an efficient business support function, including accurate minute taking and arranging meetings/ diary management to support the ICPC and RCPC Safeguarding meetings.
- Undertake all general office duties as and when required.

Experience:
- Experience of and able to demonstrate ability to take concise minutes, process and maintain data in a variety of IT systems and able to provide accurate management information as required.
- Experience of arranging meetings/diary management.
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, service users and other stakeholders to meet service needs.
- Minute taking skills and experience are essential.
- Ability to work in a timely and appropriate manner, meeting service standards.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
