Description

Our client, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants are looking for a Personal Tax Manager to join their growing team in Southampton.

You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of personal tax clients, as well as supervising and mentoring junior members of the team.

You will also be required to travel to clients premises and the firm's other offices when necessary.

Setting and adhering to budgets and notifying the manager/partner, particularly when actual time is in excess of budget
Identifying client needs and dealing with any complex issues and providing initial solutions
Achieving annual chargeable hours targets
Being responsible for maintaining annual training requirements and identifying your own training needs
Adhering to internal admin including billing clients and debt collection where required
Other adhoc duties when required

You will ideally hold a professional qualification such as ATT/CTA or be QBE and have at least 3 years personal tax experience in practice.

You will also possess excellent management and communication skills, as well as a good working knowledge of accountingsoftware such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
