    Description
    The role is predominantly based in the pub/restaurant, but supports the coffee shop as well.
    This was the first Honesty coffee shop, and where it all began.

    A pub with rooms and restaurant as well as a coffee shop and plenty of outside seating, set in a very picturesque setting.

    The Crown and Garter is open 7 days a week, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to our residents, locals and tourists.

    With strong community-led values, and people-first approach separating us from our competitors, we are committed to holding ourselves to the highest standards with regards to the environment and sustainability, with all our food made by hand by our incredible team of chefs and bakers utilising fresh, seasonal, local ingredients (where possible) and served to our customers by dedicated, healthy and happy staff


    Hours and Shift Patterns:
    30 hours per week
    Flexible work shifts across a 7 day period

    We are very proud that all of our current supervisors and managers once started with us as Coffee Shop Assistants.

    Administration

    To ensure the delivery of excellent customer service in a variety of our locations in a cheerful and efficient manner to all our customers.

    Oversee the entire shop including the flow of customers / orders, staff activities and shop environment.
    As a keyholder, open up the restaurant and coffee shop for service:
    Take delivery of goods from the wholesale unit and display / put away. Check coffee shop is clean and tidy and ready for service (sugar bowls, clean tables etc)
    Answering telephone enquiries in the restaurant and taking orders over the telephone
    Waiting on tables in both the coffee shop, and restaurant as required

    Preparing food (paninis/bacon rolls etc) and drinks (check temps in line with company Food Safety guidelines)Engaging with customers in a friendly and community-focussed manner.

    Tidy and clean outdoor areas
    Place orders with Head Office, Head Chef and General Manager for stock items / products
    Log waste
