About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent housing and benefit knowledge to join our Housing Solutions team based in hubs across the city.

The hub provides a professional front line advice service to customers on Housing, homeless prevention, Housing benefit and the council Tax reduction scheme, welfare reform and a wide range of council services.

About the job
You will encourage financial and digital inclusion by providing practical assistance and advice

You will work with a range of partners to maximise use of the hub to include arranging events and encouraging tenant participation

What We Are Looking For From You

You will have in depth knowledge of housing and homeless prevention as well as Welfare reform and council tax reduction scheme.

You will have experience of supervising and managing others and will be able to lead and motivate others.

You will have excellent communication skills, able to work as a team and will have a level of organisational ability to ensure effective service delivery.

You will have a good understanding of the Council's Equal Opportunity Policy.

Additional information
This post is temporary until 31/03/2024.

Weekend and evening working will be required on a rota basis and location of work may vary.
