Description
The successful applicant will be required to deliver the Microbiology and Infectious diseases service for Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

Applicants should possess MRCP and FRCPath or equivalent and either have, or be within six months of receiving, a dual CCT in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the date of the advisory appointments committee.


Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust have developed a new, combined, venture to deliver the Pathology Services for the Trusts and surrounding communities.

This is an exciting time for both organisations that will see a steady integration of the analytical and clinical elements of the services on both sites over the forthcoming 3-5 years.

The initial phase was completed in January 2017. This has resulted in the majority of Microbiology laboratory workload for both Trusts being located on the Airedale site. Consultants are site-based but participate in a shared on-call service and shared laboratory management.
