This business has been resolute during the pandemic and in fact, has completed several acquisitions during this period; therefore, they want their Company Bookkeeper to play a key role in the future success they expect because of this.

Viewed as the heart of the business, you can look forward to a happy and flexible workplace where you can shape your week to suit your working style & be left to your own devices to control the finances but with regular support of the external accountants on a monthly and quarterly basis and two finance assistants to help with the day-to-day transactional processes.

To be considered for the role it's essential you have a proven background in bookkeeping as despite having the external accountants down the road for support you must be able to close off a set of accounts at month-end and give support and advice to the others in your team.

The management accounts are taken care of by the accountants and as the business is continuing to grow, the Directors will look to increase headcount so you will never feel overworked, under pressure or swamped with work - they want you to go in and enjoy what you do, so that means alleviating any stress from their employees

There is flexibility to work from home on a hybrid working model and even work reduced hours if this would fit in best with your life outside of work (there is a minimum expectation that you can commit to 3-4 days a week); it's a family-owned business so they more than anyone else, understand the importance of a healthy work/life balance which is what they can offer all employees, regardless of position.
