Role


Are you looking for your next career move? Within our enforcement team, we are looking for investigators to conduct regulatory and criminal investigations.

We are looking for individuals that will be willing to support the work we do across the Enforcement Directorate. This includes working in the Investigations Team but also in the Proceedings Team when needed.


Responsibilities

  • You will undertake regulatory and criminal investigations, including:
  • Formulating investigation strategies and establishing lines of enquiry. Then progressing the investigations by obtaining the required evidence using the appropriate tools and powers
  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders including the regulated industry, members of schemes and other regulators / law enforcement organisations
  • Management of investigation costs
  • Assessment of the evidence obtained and production of Investigation Reports with recommendations for appropriate enforcement action

Person specification:


Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential

  • Experience of conducting regulatory and criminal investigations
  • Knowledge of litigation processes, including regulatory and criminal proceedings
  • Good understanding of disclosure requirements in litigation
  • Experience of drafting investigation documents including strategies and investigation reports

Desirable

  • Pensions knowledge
  • Experience of analysing financial or business information and identification of risks
  • Experience in conducting formal interviews.
