Job description:


Role


We're looking for a People Service Adviser to join our newly formed People team in providing a high-quality HR advisory and administration service throughout all stages of the employee life cycle.

The People Service Advisers work closely with our People Business Partners and Service team, ensuring consistent advice and support is delivered to the business which is aligned with our policies and procedures.


Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to all internal and external customer queries ensuring customer service levels are maintained and solutions to issues are resolved appropriately
  • Provide a high quality and accurate HR second line support service, managing the process of the employee lifecycle, delivering through high quality process and advice, including (but not limited to) to recruitment, maternity, performance management, sickness and absence management
  • Support the People Business Partners and ER colleagues with informal employee relations cases escalating cases and issues where necessary
  • Ensure HR policy, process and practices are consistently delivered to the highest standards
  • Identify continuous and innovative improvement approaches to HR guidance, processes and support
  • Support and act as an escalation point for more junior members of the People Service team, such as People Service Administrators, Interns and Apprentices

Person specification:


Essential Criteria

  • CIPD qualified/part qualified or equivalent experience
  • Experience of providing high quality advice on HR policy and procedure
  • Experience of dealing sensitively and appropriately with confidential information within an HR environment
  • Experience of working with HR databases and systems

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to strongly partner both internally and externally into relevant departments
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
