Personal Assistant Required to support a Father and Son in Tweedbank - 16 hours per week there is an option for another 4 hours on a Monday to take the hours to 20

A gentleman living in Tweedbank with his family is looking for someone to support him at home with parenting, cooking and routine tasks as well as on outings to swim, walk dogs, etc.

The gentleman has Epilepsy, Autism and suffer from anxiety - He required support on
Monday 12noon to 4.00pm Optional - Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 12.00noon to 4.00pm.

The family are looking for a fun, enthusiastic and caring person to look after their teenage autistic son
2pm to 6pm on a Wednesday
and 12.

00 noon to 4pm on Alternate Friday and Saturday's

Dad's requirements

Support to carry out daily task around the home
Support to prepare dinner
Support on outings

Son's requirements

Supporting with activities out and about including swimming and going to the park
Support with activities he enjoys in the house
Support with personal care as required
Support with eating and drinking
Support with speech and language through PEC communication
Ensuring well being and safety of child at all times

Personal Attributes required

Experience with working with children with additional needs
Experience in dealing with Autism, Epilepsy and Panic Attacks would be useful but training will be given
Must be able to swim
Kind, caring and encouraging with a calm manor
Honest, reliable and trustworthy
Dog lover

General

Must have Clean driving licence with business insurance
PVG checked

Rate of Pay
- £11.50 per hour

40p per mile for outings

Hours 16 hours or 20 hours per week

There will be other hours available during the School Summer Holidays - to be mutually agreed
