    Job summary

    Clinical Research Fellow in Paediatric Inherited Metabolic disease

    The post will be based within Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine and will be supporting research studies in Inherited Metabolic Disorders within the Willink Unitand the NIHR Children's Clinical Research Facility.

    Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trusts International FellowshipScheme (please note, there is a £500 admin charge for this scheme).     Main duties of the job

    To support the existing portfolio of metabolic medicine Clinical Research projects within the children's CRF and beyond. There will be opportunity to accrue clinical experience within the regional and supraregional metabolic service.

    The post is not recognised for training however would be suitable for a trainee applying for Out-of-Programme for Research or Out of Programme for Experience (OOPE). Educational andAcademic Supervisor for this post, Prof Siddharth Banka will support the research component and the clinical components of the post, assisting inmeeting the individual's training and career goals, including regular appraisal and support to complete appropriate work-place basedassessments.

  • Min. 2 years full time (or equivalent part time) hospital service in paediatrics
  • Good Clinical Practice for Research training
  • APLS Certificate (UK Resuscitation Council or equivalent)

  • MRCPCH Membership parts 1 and 2
