    Description

    This position represents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, to start in January 2025, when it falls vacant on the promotion of the current postholder.

    THE ROLE

    This is very significant whole-School role.We are looking for an imaginative, resourceful and energetic professional to lead the School's pastoral care, with all the opportunity and challenge this brings with it.

    The postholder is a member of the Leadership Team and reports directly to the Head.Given the skills and requirements of the position, it is envisaged that the postholder will have a strong track record in pastoral care and successful experience of middle-management.

    We are fortunate in our location at the heart of a beautiful market town. School and town are part of the same community; our pupils take their place within this community, not isolated from it. The town has a spirited cultural life, with an annual international festival, literature festival, and frequent performances of nationally touring shows at the School's Stahl Theatre. For those moving into the area, accommodation may be available at a discounted rate to support this transition. Other benefits include a salary commensurate with the seniority of the position and generous fee remission for qualifying children at Oundle School and Laxton Junior School.
