Description
A commercial surveyor deals with all aspects of commercial property.

Principal activities are valuing and surveying property as well as the management, purchase, sale, or leasing of land and property.


As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will be involved in a variety of projects and experience the day-to-day role of a Surveyor.

You will have face-to-face interaction with clients, contractors, and colleagues as well as oversee live works onsite.


_As a Graduate Commercial Agency Surveyor, you will largely be involved in the following works:_

Responsibilities

  • Taking accurate measurements of sites and premises in accordance with the RICS Code of Measuring Practice
  • Preparing marketing particulars, arranging advertising as appropriate to the instruction, and conducting viewings
  • Negotiating with confidence, orally and in writing, on issues such as rent and lease terms
  • Acquisition, disposal, and letting of properties and sites on behalf of clients
  • Implementing lease renewals and rent reviews
  • Assisting commercial asset portfolio valuations
  • Writing detailed reports in relation to properties for purposes such as rent reviews, investment potential, valuations, etc.
  • Strategically assessing properties for acquisitions, lettings, and disposals
  • Extensive liaison with clients and their advisors (e.g. solicitors and accountants), tenants, colleagues, and other third parties as appropriate.

Essential Experience

  • Excellent written presentation/report writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial transactional experience is a benefit.
  • Familiarity with development and investment appraisal techniques is advantageous.
  • Practical understanding of landlord and tenant relationships

Preferred experience

  • Ability to maximize new business opportunities and crosssell service lines for the broader firm.
  • RICS membership is desirable but not essential.
  • Full driving license and own transport.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong selfstarter.

Salary:
Upto £35K *Subject to experience
