They have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Security Operations Manager to lead the Security Team in their five-star deluxe residential property.
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all the security processes and functions are carried out in accordance with the building's five-star standards.
They are accountable for proactively developing, managing and monitoring allsecurity team members, thus ensuring a seamless security provision and excellent customer service for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage the Senior Security Officers, Loading Bay Coordinator and Security Officers taking charge of the efficient scheduling of the team, holidays, biannual appraisals and training
- Regularly check the processes and systems to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Regularly check the Standards of Practice (SOPs) to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Monitor all landlord and contractor activity, ensure compliance with the trade house rules and address any breaches
- Oversee DBS checks for all contractors as required
- If required, assist the Head of Human Resources with DBS checks for all team members
- Be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, monitoring and ethical usage of the installed CCTV and use in accordance with UK GDPR and associated principles of 'Best Practice'
- Oversee all security systems, including the access control system, key watcher system and any other securityrelated systems
- Ensure no unauthorised persons enter the residence territory and that all visitors and contractors are courteously assisted
- Maintain the Emergency Crisis Plan and ensure all relevant colleagues are aware of the plan and trained as necessary
- Undertake departmental risk assessments routinely
- Be fully conversant with the building lease and prevailing house rules and ensure all infringements are dealt with and reported to the Managing Director
- Report any infringement of the Fire Precautions Act to the Managing Director and Engineering Manager
- Report all accidents affecting employees, visitors, contractors or the company and undertake a full investigation
- Report and investigate all security incidents and breaches to the Managing Director
- Assist Head of Human Resources with any employee investigations as required
- Appraise the residents and team members on relevant security related issues as required
Required Skills:
- Strong work ethics, honesty and integrity
- Natural leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Understanding of excellent customer service in a fivestar operation
- Exceptional communication skills
- A good knowledge of best practice security standards and procedures
- Hands on approach
Desirable Experience:
- Background in security within a luxury service environment is desirable
