Part Time Domestic Assistant

Tollemache Respite Service, Prenton

£10.52

25 hours per week - 5 hour shifts covering 7 days a week
We're seeking a Domestic Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our customers.


As a Domestic Assistant you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality domestic and cleaning service to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our customers.

Our Domestic Assistants maintain the cleanliness of communal areas as well as providing a personalised domestic service to our customers in their apartments.


Located in a quiet area of Prenton, Tollemache Road is a purpose-designed, short-term respite care home with 10 en-suite bedrooms.

We provide short-term respite care for 10 adults aged 18-65, who have a range of learning disabilities and complex or high needs.


This is an amazing opportunity to work in a positive environment with a dedicated team who value the individuals they support.


We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression.

Sanctuary has our own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

The role of Domestic Assistant will include:

  • Providing a personalised domestic service to customers, fulfilling housekeeping, cleaning and domestic tasks to meet customers' needs
  • Ensuring a clean, comfortable and safe environment is maintained in the communal and service areas
  • Responsible for the daily use of housekeeping equipment
  • Monitoring of stock levels and reordering of supplies

Skills and experiences:


  • Experience is not essential however some experience of undertaking general housekeeping or domestic duties would be desirable
  • An approachable, caring and compassionate attitude is essential
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong "cando" attitude
  • Ability to demonstrate a competent level of numeracy and literacy
  • NVQ2 in Hospitality and Catering or willing to work towards, is desirable
