Description
A fast growing TV production business are currently looking for a hands on SME Finance Manager with lots of previous experience managing month and year end processes to join them for an initial period of 3 months, this could be extended.
It is key that all applicants have very solid bookkeeping skills and a strong grasp of accounting principles. You will be managing a team of 2 and reporting directly into the FD.Tasks
- Manage AP with production managers
- Prepare and send sales invoices for distribution business
- Manage monthly payroll and implement new automated systems
- Manage distribution deal tracker in excel
- Year end audit
- Managing month end close
- Manage cashflow on a monthly basis
- Preparing monthly management accounts; track and refine the process.
- Design, manage, format and approve all journals and management accounts
- Complete and file quarterly VAT returns
- Involved in annual budgeting process
- Strong financial accounting skills particularly in relation to income recognition
- Strong excel skills
- Experience of working in finance in a creative environment
- Happy to be handson and get their hands dirty in transactional accounting as
- Detail oriented always an eye on the big picture
- Ability to manage a mentor junior staff member
- Outgoing, driven and enthusiastic individual
