Description

A fast growing TV production business are currently looking for a hands on SME Finance Manager with lots of previous experience managing month and year end processes to join them for an initial period of 3 months, this could be extended.

It is key that all applicants have very solid bookkeeping skills and a strong grasp of accounting principles. You will be managing a team of 2 and reporting directly into the FD.

Tasks

  • Manage AP with production managers
  • Prepare and send sales invoices for distribution business
  • Manage monthly payroll and implement new automated systems
  • Manage distribution deal tracker in excel
  • Year end audit
  • Managing month end close
  • Manage cashflow on a monthly basis
  • Preparing monthly management accounts; track and refine the process.
  • Design, manage, format and approve all journals and management accounts
  • Complete and file quarterly VAT returns
  • Involved in annual budgeting process
Person

  • Strong financial accounting skills particularly in relation to income recognition
  • Strong excel skills
  • Experience of working in finance in a creative environment
  • Happy to be handson and get their hands dirty in transactional accounting as
required

  • Detail oriented always an eye on the big picture
  • Ability to manage a mentor junior staff member
  • Outgoing, driven and enthusiastic individual
