We are seeking an Out of Hours Call Handler who will provide high-quality customer service, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently.

This position is based in Stockport and is crucial within our client's not-for-profit organisation's customer service department.


As an Out of Hours Call Handler you will be:

  • Manage incoming calls and customer service enquiries.
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate information using the right methods/tools.
  • Attending to a person in their own home, who has had a fall, and using specialist lifting equipment to help them up.
  • Working with Police, Ambulance Crews and Social Services as well as internal departments and your colleagues.

A successful Out of Hours Call Handler should have:

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative.
  • Strong phone handling skills and active listening abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Will
    hold a full UK driving licence (essential) but don't need access to your own car

Be fully flexible (5 out of the 7 days) in the week as there are different shift patterns early (6.45am-2.45pm), late (2.30pm-10.30pm) and nights (10pm-7am) on a rational basis
