The role operates on a 12-hour 4-shift pattern operating in a continuous 24/7 environment.
4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off continental shift pattern with average hours paid per week 42 hours.
-Role purpose:
- As a Production Warehouse Operator, you will be expected to operate a forklift truck in the Production area. Assist in development and maintenance of the Health and Safety standards and maintain good communication standards with the Department Management Team.
- The role will operate in a highspeed, highvolume production environment. Attention to detail and a drive for right firsttime production quality is essential. Being a good team player and having a willingness to work in a flexible manner to suit changing business demands are also key attributes to being successful in the role.
Accountabilities:
- Operating in a safe manner to ensure the health & safety of yourself and your colleagues.
- Wrapping, Packing and labelling of pallets of material in the Production Department.
- Transportation of finished pallets of material from the Production area into the Warehouse racking.
- Transportation of pallets of Raw Material into the Production Department.
- Load and unload the debagging machine as required.
- Turn off and lock out all equipment when not in use.
- Complete Daily Safety Check Logs for the forklift trucks.
- Responsible to ensure no damage to pallets of finished material during transportation, and for transportation of pallets of raw materials into the Production department.
- Communicating both within your shift and across shifts to ensure seamless operations.
Measures of effectiveness:
No LTIs or Recordable incidents and Excellent 6s standard
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
- Good administrative and business systems knowledge.
- Full and up to date Forklift Truck license (Reach and Counterbalance) training will be provided if required.
- Formal qualifications in English and Mathematics
