Location - Stamford Bridge with occasional travel to Cobham

Permanent Role

Hours - 35 hours per week (5 of 7 days)

What We're Looking For:


Chelsea FC are looking for a HR Advisor to join the team This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing, fast paced HR team in order to provide comprehensive human resources support to the whole Club.

This role will contribute to Chelsea's strategic and operational HR objectives and provide the full range of HR generalise advice and guidance to managers and employees


Brief description and duties:


  • Advise, guide and support managers with all matters relating to employee relations
  • Provide effective case management of people related issues such as disciplinaries, grievance, absence management and performance management
  • Monitor trends in employment practices and advise on appropriate proactive action
  • Promote a good understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion across Chelsea
  • Providing sound HR advice and guidance
  • Support the HR Operations team to act as a point of contact for all HR queries through the HR inbox and ensure that a timely and responsive HR service is delivered to a high standard
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures that meet legal guidelines and best practice
  • Work alongside the HR Business Partners and the Learning and Development team to design and deliver relevant training to managers and employees to address any identified gaps in HR management
  • Manage the offboarding process including arranging and conducting exit interviews
  • Support the HR Business Partners to oversee the resourcing process, ensuring that any identified new or replacement roles are appropriately benchmarked and authorised
  • Assist in the interpretation and monitoring of a range of people metrics
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of HR initiatives and projects that underpin Chelsea's business priorities, values and culture
  • Represent HR across departmental working groups, ensuring people aspects are fully considered
  • Actively seek ways to develop an understanding of organisational, sector and HR industry issues and developments, keeping abreast of HR best practice

Must Haves/qualified by demonstrable experience to the level required:

  • CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD qualification
  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures and best practice
  • Good understanding of employment law with the ability to implement legal advice into practice
  • Proven experience of managing a range of employee relations cases
  • A dedicated commitment to diversity and inclusion and equality of opportunity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently and objectively support and influence people at all levels
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and use own initiative to meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to assimilate complex information and data quickly and accurately
  • Experience of working with highly sensitive information in a confidential manner

Nice to Haves:


  • An understanding of safeguarding and experience with DBS checks
