**Care Case Handler
Tewkesbury
£22,000 - £28,000 D.O.E**My client has been established for 20 years and operate within the Occupational health sector. They pride themselves on being a family run, independent organisation who offer expertise in Health, Wellbeing and Safety within the workplace.


Our client has an excellent opportunity for a care case handler to join their careline team, making appropriate recommendations and onward referrals.

The key responsibility is to manage incoming calls, to help and guide customers through the claim process.


Key duties:


  • Establish the current reason for ill health and identify any underlying cause or contributory risk factors
  • To be instrumental in the multidisciplinary assessment process by ensuring information is gained sufficient to assess: personal and occupational risk factors
  • To effectively communicate to the employee or dependant, the multifactorial issues associated with the current episode of ill health and how they can personally address the risk factors within their locus of control
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Stepped Care model and the support options for each step
  • Have a thorough understanding of what is in and out of scope for each client
  • Provide guided selfhelp via telephone / video conferencing

Key skills & knowledge required:


  • Ability to use Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate confident telephone skills using effective listening and empathy with employees and stakeholders, covering both inbound and outbound calls
  • Adopt an investigatory approach to cases and to ensure that all obstacles are identified and removed where necessary and or appropriate
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to be able to work confidently with little supervision but at the same time be able to recognise when to seek help, support or clarification
