- The effective planning of part running order.
- To uphold the quality of produced parts in the department.
- To ensure that production rates are kept to a satisfactory level.
- To be responsible for the control of drawings.
- To ensure that you are working to the correct methods.
- Is responsible for the quality and control of work in his / her section.
- To be responsible for the control of Health & Safety in the area.
- Make necessary decisions to achieve the required results within agreed timescales, policies and procedures.
- To be responsible for the cleanliness of your work area.
- To display good housekeeping in the area.
- To attend daily tier meetings.
- To carry out other duties that fall within the general scope of the post which may be required from time to time.
- Permanent
- Monday to Thursday = 0800 to 1700
- Friday = 0800 to 1300
- For the right candidate, this role can switch to nights at a later date.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- The ability to use specialised measuring equipment.
- A good working knowledge and understanding of the VMC machines.
- A good understanding of how to set the machines.
- Attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills.
