This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.


As a P&OD Assistant Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the P&OD Team to influence and drive the strategic People and Organisational Development agenda.

Working closely with senior leadership teams, you will deliver a proactive and professional business partnering service, focusing on workforce planning, resource availability, and leadership development within your designated Directorates.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.


Support the implementation of the People & OD Strategy, enhancing Directorate performance through effective communication and trust-based relationships with senior managers.

Coach and support line managers to improve workforce plans and people management practices.
Design and deliver training and development programmes, ensuring managers understand HR policies and practices.
Support workforce planning initiatives, including talent management and succession planning, to support new ways of working.
Analyse and present people performance data, identifying trends and advising on necessary actions.
Act as a change enabler to facilitate organisational development and manage complex employee relations issues.
Champion and embed DHCW's values and behaviours, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Deputise for the P&OD Business Partner in meetings, providing insights on people metrics and making recommendations.
