Research Fellow:

Grade R1: £35,333 to £38,592 per annum, plus £2,166 per annum London Weighting with potential to progress to £42,155 per annum plus £2,166 per annum London Weighting.


A highly enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow is sought for to work on exciting projects on supercritical carbon dioxide heat to power conversion cycles.

The first project is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

SCOTWOHR - Industrial Waste Heat Recovery Using Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Cycles and involves the investigation heat exchangers and controls for the optimisation of sCO2 systems for waste heat to power conversion.

The research is supported by extensive and unique test facilities at Brunel, which are being developed further to address the needs of the two projects.

The appointee will also be expected to have very good communication skills and be able to work closely with other researchers in the group and project collaborators.
