An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Assistant Practitioner within the integrated safeguarding adults' services at Cornwall Foundation NHS Trust supporting patients open to Adult Community Services with safeguarding concerns.

This post is within the Integrated Safeguarding Services.

Working with the Named Nurse for Adult Safeguarding for Acute and Community Hospitals and Community Services you will need to have the skills to provide safeguarding advise and support to staff including immediate safety planning and making a safeguarding referral to protect patients.


Main duties of the job:


You will need to have the skills to provide safeguarding advise and support to staff including immediate safety planning and making a safeguarding referral to protect patients.

You will also need to be able to work as part of an Integrated Safeguarding service.


The post-holder is required to manage their day-to-day workload and use their initiative with limited supervision which will require informed judgement, excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to multitask.


We are looking for an individual who can develop effective and collaborative working with healthcare and multi-agency colleagues as well as providing support skills and advice.

This role involves frequently dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information.


This role aims to provide improved advice to staff and patients known to adult mental health and adult community services who are at risk of or experiencing neglect or abuse.
