London School of Science and Technology currently has an opportunity for a Cleaner to provide cleaning services at their Luton campus.
This is a busy and demanding environment where each member of staff works together to provide a safe and secure environment for all staff and students.
Job Purpose:
The cleaner may be responsible for any or all of the following tasks. Tasks may also change during the post holder's employment.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, floors.
Other floor work may be required such as:
scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.
- Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc.
- Dusts furniture, workstations, equipment, partitions, etc.
- Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner.
- Washes walls and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, partitions, sills, etc.
- Report any problems/broken items to the Operations/Facilities Manager.
Please note there is manual handling associated with this role including a high volume of physical activity associated with undertaking the cleaning duties.
