The Senior HR Business Partner (SHRBP) supports the overall aims of the function(s) they are aligned to by working closely with the senior leadership team (SLT) to develop and implement effective HR strategies (people plan) that drives people and commercialperformance.

They will build trusted relationships to understand business strategy, people demographics and organisational culture and from this interpret short and long term people requirements / goals to address areas of concerns and deliver on strategicpriorities.


Key responsibilities for this role:


  • Build strong relationships with their stakeholder group member in order to firstly understand their strategy and priorities
  • Work with their stakeholders/senior stakeholders to ensure an effective people plan is in place to support delivery of the strategic plans
  • Support the development and implementation of organisation design and transformation agenda of the respective business area(s), driving through any potential restructures to conclusion in conjunctions with any areas of specialism across HR and the widerbusiness as necessary.
  • Understand the key people metrics within the business area e.g. absence, attrition, hiring, disciplinary, grievances; providing insight and solutions to the business within the overall HR framework
  • Work closely with the Resourcing Partners to ensure a seamless end to end recruitment process for all levels including senior hires
  • Work closely with the business and the Talent function to ensure appropriate talent, succession and diversity & inclusion plans are in place
  • Provide innovative, informed and pragmatic solutions to a variety of complex HR issues taking full account of internal policies, HR best practice, legislative practice, equality and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the implementation and execution of the cyclical HR processes with the aligned business e.g. performance management, pay reviews, talent reviews
  • Support the implementation of wider HR projects as required
  • Deliver business outcomes by working closely with areas of expertise in the HR function and beyond
  • Support continuous improvement of the HR operating model across the HR Business Partner team alongside CoE's to enhance the services and capabilities of the HR function to our customers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and to reduce operational risk

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

To be successful in the business partnering team, the individual will:

  • Have a proven track record in building strong relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Have significant experience in a broad range of HR specialisms including, but not limited to, organisation design, transformation and change, employee relations, recruitment and talent management
  • Commercially focused with experience of building business cases and ensuring that people related activities deliver an appropriate return on investment
  • Have significant ability to independently lead projects and determine appropriate strategy and solutions.
  • Strong employment law knowledge and ability to translate this into commercial advice
  • Significant discipline, grievance, absence and TUPE experience

Qualifications:


  • Previous HR Generalist or Senior HR Business Partner experience is required (in a regulated environment preferrable)
  • CIPD qualified
