Description
Our clients are a multi-service law firm based in Blackburn and are currently looking for an Accounts Administrator.
The Accounts Administrator will be required to assist the Finance Team, and will be given the opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of finance.
The principal accountabilities:
Assisting staff with accounts queries
Office / Client account banking
Cancelling cheques
Assisting with the teams ie disbursements postings, ATE cancellations, archive file checklists etc
Create and post bills
Reviewing office and client monies to ensure everything has been accounted for
Archiving files
Bank Payment Office - Review slips received from Fee Earners, approve and process payment for the appropriate suppliers
Sending out remittances after payment has been issued
Youe must be able to "hit the ground running" and have:
Good academic background
Moderate technical ability
Moderate it skills
Moderate knowledge of Excel is a prerequisite and experience of using Access is preferred but not essential
Willingness to learn
Experience of Proclaim would be an advantage
Experience of working within SRA Account Rules would be an advantage
