Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Combine elements such as live action footage, CG renders, stock elements etc. to create the final image
  • Help troubleshoot Nuke technical issues across projects
  • Develop new compositing techniques and workflows
  • Meet delivery deadlines under production constraints
  • Work closely with Supervisors to develop tools and workflows associated with Compositing

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Nuke
  • A good understanding of photographic principles and Compositing techniques
  • The ability to work well within a team environment and take direction from Producers and Supervisors
  • A good understanding of colorspace principles
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, and the ability to receive direction and criticism
  • Excellent presentation/communication skills in dailies/reviews by clearly and briefly outlining what has been accomplished and what next should be addressed in the shot
  • Demonstrates an excellent aesthetic eye, anticipating potential problems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of practical lighting for photography
  • A good working knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline
  • Basic knowledge of Python and/or Mel scripting
