Your new role:


I am delighted to be supporting a fantastic manufacturing business in County Durham in their appointment of a Qualified Business Controller (Finance Business Partner/FP&A).

This role will report into the Finance Director and will be responsible for business partnering with various divisions across the business, engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders, as well as analysis and reporting using BI tools and ad-hoc projects.

Due to the size of this business, there are opportunities for personal development and potential future opportunities internally.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Reporting for various business units with the Group.
  • Analysing and reviewing business performance, including sales and margin analysis.
  • Logistics and cost control and analysis with external warehouse provider.
  • Warranty and rebate provisions and claims.
  • Overhead cost control, prepayments and accruals.
  • Leasing activities with external partner.
  • Working capital and inventory control.
  • Leading monthly reviews with Divisions.
  • Annual budget process and monthly forecasting.
  • Liaising with regional Controllers.
  • Adhoc business support projects.

You will be/have:


  • ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualified or a passed finalist.
  • Knowledge of BI packages or Data warehouse.
  • Advanced Excel skills and Powerpoint.
  • Experience of an ERP system.
  • Project finance lead experience.
