Job overview
King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and well-organized Medical Secretary / Pathway Coordinator to join the Haematology Department based at the Princess Royal University Hospital site. He/she will liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, internal departments and external agencies to ensure continuity in achieving excellence in patient care.
Main duties of the job
The post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to be a part of a busy team. The work mainly involves overseeing clinic letters but mainly includes booking of appointments, liaising with internal as well as external providers. You will be dealing with incoming queries, checking of letters and day-to-day administrative duties. The post requires an understanding of the 18 week RTT , Cancer Waiting Times targets and knowledge of the Trust Access Policy.
