Several new roles will enable the team to accelerate delivery of its plans.

The role of
Food Technologist will be critical to the team's success.


You will be supporting the F&B Product team in the creation of product ranges, menus and recipes for use by the food and beverage operations across the university campus.

You'll manage the production and publication process of the toolkits used by operations teams to produce and sell food and drink.

You'll also support the Product Development Manager and Development Chef with range selection, price changes, data entry, the management of samples and associated promotional activity that grows commercial value.

You'll ensure that our operational teams receive accurate, complete editions of relevant toolkits and you'll gather and report on feedback from operations teams and customers to enable future development.

Salary is £25,138 - £28759 Please note this role is Pro Rata to 4 days per week (29.2Hours)


Responsibilities

Working with systems


You'll support the F&B Product team by entering menu, recipe, product and ingredient data into our stock management system, creating menu rotations, ranges and consisting information in accordance with the deadlines set out in the development process.


Managing Timelines


You'll support the F&B Product team throughout the process of product range, menu and recipe creation by coordinating development activity and the production of toolkits.

You'll manage the production process of toolkits working with colleagues in Marketing, to ensure delivery on time and in full.


Ensuring accuracy
You'll use your eye for detail to ensure that every section of menus, recipes and toolkits are accurate.

You'll make sure that important information is presented accurately; everything from ingredient weights and food allergens, to range plans minimising the risk to the health of our customers and staff.


Gathering information


You'll proactively seek and gather feedback on food and drink ranges/recipes from operations teams, presenting this information to the F&B Product team and wider Warwick Food Group team to inform future development cycles.

You'll ensure that feedback is responded to promptly.


Merchandising our offer
You'll be responsible for coordinating the development of merchandising standards and for producing and publishing merchandising toolkits.

You'll assist the F&B Product team with the selection of light equipment and the photography of merchandising standards and range plans.


Coordinating promotions
You'll support the Food & Beverage team in the planning, preparation, communication and review of promotional activity.

This incudes working with the Head of F&B Experience on photography, the Procurement team on sponsorship, supporting communications and setting up promotions in the tills back office system.


Skills & Experience

  • Food Safety Level 2 trained
  • Experience of working within a technical, compliance or food service environment
  • Experience of providing a comprehensive administrative role supported by an NVQ 3 or equivalent, or vocational experience
  • Demonstratable knowledge of MS Office Programs with high degree of computer literacy
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Interest in the food industry and market trends
  • Knowledge of food ingredients and specifications
  • Flexible, customerfocused approach enabling strong relationships to be built and maintained internally and externally
  • Ability to influence in order to achieve compliance within internal processes
  • Ability to produce statistical figures/reports in a clear and concise format to agreed timelines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritise in line with the needs of the organisation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
