    The SEN Teacher of Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education tailored to the needs of students with various special educational needs.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated science lessons that meet the needs of students with SEN.
    • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
    • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support students' overall development and well-being.
    • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education and science teaching.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
    • Proven experience teaching science, preferably within an SEN setting.
    • Strong understanding of various special educational needs and effective teaching strategies to support these students.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
    • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
    • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with SEN.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
