RSR are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in South West England - covering Bath, Bristol, North Somerset, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire and Basingstoke for a
Floating Support Worker.

Salary:
£27,000 per year

Hours:37.5 hours per week

A valid license and access to a vehicle
Ability to work out of hours, evenings, and weekends on occasions depending on the needs of the project

The Role:

The role of the floating support worker is to work in services where additional staff support is required, so one week you may work in our Bath Domestic abuse service's and the next, in our supported housing services in Mendip.

The role requires you to build positive and professional relationships with clients whilst working in a flexible environment.

As well as having an interest and passion for a wide range of social issues, you will need to demonstrate good organisation and planning skills with the openness to a changing work pattern/location at short notice.

Responsibilities include:

Give clients advice, and information and provide an enabling service so that they can be signposted to and access appropriate services.
Manage the planned and positive moveon of clients through the service, ensuring staff are supported to meet their targets around their length of stay.
Support Service Users in contributing to the development of new and existing services.
Support Service Users to engage in consultation events both within the organisation and in the wider community through e.g. relevant external forums, scheduled service meetings, service user feedback and completed exit questionnaires.

Qualifications / Requirements:

A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
Understanding of multiple and complex needs and how this may impact homelessness and social exclusion and approaches which seek to address these.
Ability to undertake Needs Assessment and Planning for people with complex social needs which includes taking a lead on multi agency working and partnerships
Working with people with complex needs and challenging behaviour
