Butler Rose is working alongside one of our top educational organisation clients based in Milton Keynes in their search for an experienced Payroll Manager and Salary, dependent on experience they are happy to go to £60,027 per annum.

This role can eitherbe as a temporary or a Six-month FTC with client benefits pro-rated - 33 days holiday a year and 3 closure days at Christmas etc.

Remote working is fine, location wise they are flexible with the expectation somebody can come to MK when required.
Payroll Manager

The Payroll and Staff Payments Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and reviewing all payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions.

Duties:

Overseeing four UK payrolls
Management of the Staff Payments Office
Lead, motivate and develop the team while monitoring performance
Define solutions and the implementation of the change programme deliverables
Developing required process documentation and training material for the team, providing updates as required
Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions
Managing the Concur expense system
Advise on all statutory compliance and aspects of employment tax
The Client uses the SAP Payroll system. Proven track record of strong leadership in a large payroll function, within an SAP framework desired.
Ideally coming from a large company background and able to manage multiple payrolls.
Payroll technical expertise coupled with experience in change management and governance.
They need to be a people manager and leader, able to coach others.
Demonstrated analytical and datainformed decisionmaking
Extensive systems knowledge including SAP, Microsoft Office and Excel
Experience of working in higher education sector would be an advantage or other complex organisations.
