Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Meridian Business Park, United Kingdom - TECHWAVES RECRUITMENT LTD
Description
Could you just confirm if you have experience within hot end and nickel materials? Like investment casting, ceramic core, wax, shell, de-wax, metal pour then finish?Yes? Well
If you're reading on, you're already an ME working on Castings, with Foundry experience.
You'll be in the thick of it, understanding the processes behind manufacturing and the issues that you might come up with with these types of materials.
The challenge? Well, the main one is initially getting visibility of potential design and then identifying the right sources for low volume to high volume manufacture.
You'll be able to really provide insight and your ideas on what needs to happen to get to the next design phase, hashing out ideas around a white board.
You will have already worked through the product life cyle, from New Product Introduction to
production to transfer to shut down and have a good understanding of what the processes and systems around this need to look like.
As well as working closely with the Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, you'll be spending time in the office with designers, some time on the road to suppliers and some time working from home when focus is needed.
You'll have ideas on how to tackle issues, whether that's technical, supply chain and share your status to senior management.
This Manufacturing Engineering role working for a company that have partners such as Shell and Cemex are looking to hire in their newly built UK team.
You won't be micromanaged, you'll be the kind of person who just likes to get stuff done and can update if any issues arise.
If you have Gas turbine, specifically gas path products experience
- preferably nickel material understanding, you'll be in the right place where you can make a positive impact to the business pretty quickly.
