The Fund Controller is a core member of the Fund Management team as part of the Fund Operations and Services team and the Operations department, responsible for contributing to all aspects of the operational management of our Private Equity and Solutions products and beyond.

The team
Schroders Capital is the private markets investment division of Schroders Group.

With over $88 billion assets under management, we offer a diversified range of investment strategies, including real estate, private equity, secondaries, venture capital, infrastructure, securitised products and asset-based finance, insurance-linked securities and impact investing.

The base
You'll be based at our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex.

That's our operations hub - home to our client servicing, product reporting and operational oversight for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

To strengthen our Operations team in Horsham (UK), we are looking for an ambitious talent for the position.

What you'll do

Operational management and support of the Schroders Capital Private Equity and Solutions products (e.g. reporting, cash management, coordination)
Interaction with investors, fund managers, investment partners, auditors, administrators and other internal/external stakeholders
Oversight investment reports that form the basis for Schroders Capital's reporting obligations to investors at portfolio company and investment fund level and analyze information
Manage internal workflows and ensure that all applicable deadlines are met
Enable, support and drive change initiatives within Fund Operations
Support and coordinate (if required) projects as well as the optimization and maintenance of our processes
Define and determine business requirements proactively
Contribute to a supportive and creative environment
Support other team members proactively and without being asked

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

Experience at a financial services company
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as finance, accounting, administration or controlling, or experience in a relevant role
Experience in working with colleagues and stakeholders globally and sensitivity to cultural differences
Team player, role model, selfmotivated with the ability to work independently

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- experience in the private equity industry or any other private asset class (e.g. real estate, private debt, infrastructure)

Knowledge in eFront software
Fluent in another European language, both written and spoken
