What will you be doing?


As the Senior Project Manager, within the Cyber Prevent Programme Delivery team, you will be responsible for managing a number of complex, technical and strategic projects that contribute to the Cyber Security strategy and Vodafone UK's regulatory obligationswith the prime focus on driving project outcomes to meet the Telecommunications Security Act (TSA).

The government established a new security framework through TSA which sets out a robust security standard designed to promote the resilience and integrity ofcore telecommunications networks in the UK.

TSA programme delivers complex transformation changes spanning multiple Cyber domains. ?


You will have complete end to end delivery responsibility from inception scoping and building case preparation through design, build and test before overseeing deployment and handover to operations.

All projects are delivered through a formal governance processfollowing a Vodafone Project Delivery Lifecycle; however the delivery model may vary between Waterfall and Agile methodologies as Cyber Security are currently driving the adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) across our delivery programmes.


You will be required to work closely with the other Project Managers in our team as many of their projects will have requirements and inter-dependencies with the regulatory programme.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be expected to provide a level of coachingassistance to other members of the team and including any graduates who may be assigned to the Cyber Prevent team.


Who are we looking for?


This role would best suit an individual who has experience of delivering Cyber Security controls and platforms including Firewall & Proxy Management, Access Management, Logging and Monitoring, IPS, WAF, Vulnerability Scanning, Patching and Asset Management.


You will also obtain the following skills:

  • Proven experience of delivering major technology projects and programmes with budgets in excess of £1m
  • Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy, flexibility and selforganisation with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage challenging situations
  • Strategy & Planning skills
  • Prince 2, APM, SAFe or other equivalent qualification
  • Experience in the technology, security or telecommunications industry
  • Ability to direct and lead teams across multifunctional boundaries
  • Financial planning and budget management
  • MSP, MoR, MoP
