Description

The successful applicant will work as part of the screening team based across Bristol and Weston to maintain our excellent service, which we are proud of and support the women and their families who use our service plus the staff who seek advice and knowledge from our team.

IT skills, a good telephone manner and empathy are vitally important as these are skills you will use every week in this role.

Recent up to date experience and knowledge of the screening pathways

Being flexible in your approach to work will help as well as we are a small team and need to respond to the needs of our service at short notice on occasions

  • Ensure all PHE Screening standards are adhered to quarterly KPI data is sent to our Quality Assurance team (QA)
  • Ensure women receiving essential screening information / management following screen positive results
  • Managing newborn screening services (NIPE and newborn Blood spot)
  • Teaching on monthly Midwifery Update using power point and teaching presentation
  • Coordinating 4 monthly Antenatal Screening Governance meeting and new born Screening Governance meetings.
  • Extensive involvement in audits of our service against KPI and National benchmarking of our service.
