Craft Team Leader - Structural:
What you need to know about the role
Working as a Structural Team Leader you will be responsible for supervising British Steel craft and contractor resource within your area of control to ensure safe and effective maintenance of equipment and plant.
Reporting to the Structural Maintenance Engineer for the area and working alongside other Team Leaders you will provide front line supervision, technical advice and will be expected to lead and motivate the team to achieve the desired plan.
You will maintain and where possible raise the benchmark for engineering standards in the area and will lead and develop the craft team to ensure a high standard of maintenance is achieved in a safe efficient manner.
You will also be expected to liaise with the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer and planning function to improve maintenance plans and develop plant equipment.
You will provide fault finding and technical expertise for your assigned area both during and outside normal hours as demanded by the plant.
What we need to know about you
You need to be a time-served structural craftsman, able to read technical drawings, with experience of preparing material lists for planned maintenance work.
Furthermore, you will ideally be educated to HNC level or equivalent with a proven track record of supervision and management of mechanical engineering teams.
You are required to be technically proficient, with good PC skills and capable of being a practitioner in the specific elements of SAP PM.
You will need to deliver efficient maintenance, working in conjunction with the manufacturing team, directing and supervising British Steel personnel and relevant contractors to deliver safe, efficient, and timely work execution.
You must be highly motivated, a good communicator with a high level of team skills.What we can offer you
