Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised and pro-active Speech and Language Therapist to provide high quality Speech and Language Therapy services for patients with communication disorders and dysphagia within inpatient care at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital (Bodelwyddan).
The post holder will work within Adult Speech and Language Therapy service in the Acute setting (general surgical, medical, COTE, Critical Care and stroke wards) which includes: Triage of referrals Caseload allocation and prioritisation Assessment, treatment and management of patients within the inpatient setting Supporting the organisation and efficient flow of caseloads Planning and supporting transition to community services as part of discharge from hospital.
The role involves delivery of training and education to the wider MDT and Band 5 Speech and Language Therapy colleagues in dysphagia and communication.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
